Openreach are upgrading the Access Network and killing all the legacy PSTN products such as ISDN2, ISDN30, LLU and Classic products. These products, collectively referred to as “WLR (Wholesale Line Rental) products” deliver analogue voice and broadband communications for home and businesses. When the PSTN closes, these products will no longer be available.
And they’ll all be gone by December 2025 but already in some exchange areas you can no longer order legacy products. Companies like Holler Technology will need to help migrate 16 million lines and channels to alternative products before the network (PSTN) is switched off.
We’re ready for it, but are you?
